Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
